The IRL campaign started with the collaborative single "Orchard" with Nate Lesco released in May 2023. The track was a catchy song exploring KTheChosen’s more flirtatious side and foreshadowing a shift in his music . This was followed by a cinematic music video that ended with a teaser announcing K’s next project, a new EP titled "IRL".
No other singles followed this release but K kept the excitement for the project through three mysterious but entertaining teaser videos.
Released on Friday, November 3rd 2023, the EP explores K's experience balancing romantic and industry relationships following the success of his last project, "+Vice". The concept project explores different meanings for the acronym “IRL” from the well known “In Real Life” to his own new meanings “ I Rarely Lie” and “I Really Love”. The 6-track body of work finds K expressing himself through more melodic flows and smooth, RnB instrumentation. He also introduces a new persona known as “Heartbreak K” who you can learn more about by streaming the new EP.
