Join Calgary Public Library for LitCon 2025! The literary arts festival is for students in grades K–9. It provides exposure to literary artists and fosters creativity, social connections, and skill development.
These virtual sessions designed for your classroom will inspire students to explore creative processes in writing, drawing, poetry, music, comics, oral storytelling, and more.
This workshop will look at storytelling through music as well as freestyle or improvisation and how it not only enhances one’s creative ability but how it is a general useful skill in life. Activities will cover basic song structure and how to use different topics to inspire writing and eventually how to improvise ideas and add them to existing work.
Recommended for Grades 3 to 9
