Voices of Canada is an engaging, curriculum-aligned education program that uses music to explore and celebrate Canada's rich cultural heritage.
Through live performances, a panel discussion, and audience Q&A, students will connect with the stories and songs of Canadian musicians from diverse backgrounds, gaining a deeper understanding of the nation’s cultural fabric. Using music as a lens, Voices of Canada explores Canada’s rich cultural diversity, featuring stories and songs from Canadian musicians, specifically vocalists, of varied backgrounds.

Sandra Sutter is an award-winning Cree Métis recording artist, songwriter, musician, poet and filmmaker. Raised in a loving non-Indigenous family, Sandra discovered and embraced her ancestral and cultural roots later in life. Her life journey has given her a unique perspective and opportunity to bring people together through songs of reconciliation.
KTheChosen is a Zimbabwe-born TEDx speaker, hip-hop, and spoken word artist. K believes in the power of storytelling and uses his voice to share the experiences of those around him. As a mentor, K has also been involved in youth programs, such as Science Genius, a program that teaches middle school children about science through music.
Luis Tovar is a JUNO-nominated percussionist from Venezuela. Since arriving in Alberta 18 years ago, he has made an indelible mark on the Western Canadian music scene, with 29 years of professional experience in percussion of world music instruments. He enjoys sharing his experiences and knowledge with the next generation of musicians.
